Daryl Swetlishoff, CFA
Daryl was named head of research of Raymond James Canada in May 2007. Based in Vancouver, he is responsible for a group of 35 equity research professionals providing coverage on ~225 companies across seven sectors. He is also an analyst covering the forest products sector for Raymond James since joining the firm in 2001. For the past four years Brendan Wood International has recognized Daryl as the #1 ranked analyst in the space. Daryl holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, and earned an MA (economics) from the University of Victoria (1994).

Ken joined Raymond James in late 2011 as an equity research analyst covering Canadian REITs and real estate operating companies. Ken has over 15 years of experience in the investment, lending and real estate industries. He returns to the Raymond James organization after spending two years as the director of finance and capital markets at First Potomac Realty Trust where he was responsible for debt, equity and hedging transactions, investor relations and risk management. First Potomac is a $2 billion office/industrial REIT based in Washington D.C., which doubled in size during Ken's tenure. Prior to First Potomac, Ken held various positions in equity research at Raymond James & Associates in St. Petersburg, FL, most recently holding the title of VP – REIT analyst while covering nearly 25 stocks. Ken holds a BA from Boston College, and earned an MBA from the Stern School of Business at NYU with a concentration in finance and international business.

Frederic Bastien, CFA
Frederic Bastien joined Raymond James Ltd. in 2003. Frederic primarily focuses on the infrastructure and construction sector, but recently expanded his coverage universe to include power and utility stocks. He is a well-respected analyst, achieving Brendan Wood International’s annual TopGun status on a consistent basis. Frederic holds an MBA from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia, a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from McGill University, and the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Andrew Bradford, CFA
Andrew originally joined Raymond James in an analyst capacity in 2000, and after a brief hiatus, returned to the firm in December 2007. Andrew has been performing investment analysis for investment dealers in the energy sector and the energy services industry since 1998. Prior to that, he spent two years with a Calgary-based energy-focused private equity firm. Andrew earned a master's degree in economics from the University of Calgary in 1996 and is a CFA charterholder.

Ben joined Raymond James Ltd. in 1998. As an analyst, Ben covers the infrastructure and construction space as well as aerospace and aviation companies. He is a top-ranked analyst with Brendan Wood, retaining his top-three TopGun status from 2003 to 2014. Chris originally joined Raymond James in 2009 as an associate equity analyst covering the senior oil & gas producers and oil sands sectors. He returned to the firm in 2013 after a brief hiatus working at AltaCorp Capital where he was a research analyst covering the same space. Farooq Hamed joined Raymond James Ltd. in 2017 as an equity analyst covering the mining sector. Prior to joining Raymond James, Farooq spent 11 years in equity research covering gold, base metals, diamond, fertilizer and agricultural companies at both global and Canadian banks. Steven Hansen joined Raymond James Ltd. in October 2005, and covers the transportation, chemicals, and agribusiness industries. In 2011, he was ranked as the number one stockpicker for his industry by StarMine, and in the same year, he achieved TopGun status with Brendan Wood. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Hansen was employed as a stock analyst with Morningstar covering the paper & forest products sector. Tara Hassan, P.Eng
Tara Hassan joined Raymond James Ltd. in November 2016 as a mining equity research analyst focusing on small to mid-capital explorers, developers and producers in the precious metals space. Prior to joining Raymond James, Tara spent more than nine years as an equity analyst covering small to mid-capital explorers, developers and producers. Before entering the financial services industry, Tara worked as a mining engineer for Inco (now Vale) and Placer Dome (now Barrick Gold). At these companies, she held operating, engineering and project-focused roles, working at eight different mines and gaining experience in a wide variety of underground and open-pit mining situations. Tara is a professional engineer (Ontario) and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mining engineering from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.

Steven Li, CFA, CMA
Steven Li concentrates his research efforts on the technology sector (hardware, services and software). Steven joined the firm in July 2001 as an equity analyst. Steven has been recognized three times (2009, 2010, 2011) by Brendan Woods as a TopGun analyst within the technology sector and twice by StarMine as a top stock picker in IT equipment (2009, 2013). Steven holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and earned a B.A. and M.A. from the University of Cambridge (England) and an MBA from York University.

Kurt joined Raymond James in 2013 as an energy analyst. Kurt began his 30-year energy finance career as a corporate lender in CIBC energy group and crossed over to the institutional equities side of the business in the mid-1990s, holding roles in institutional sales, investment banking, and energy research at various banks and boutiques. From 2001 through 2004 he took a hiatus from the finance industry to be one of three founders of a successful private E&P company. Kurt holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary with a major in finance.

David Novak, MSc.
David joined Raymond James in 2018 as Managing Director, Equity Research Analyst covering Healthcare & Biotechnology companies. Prior to Raymond James, David held similar roles at a number of Canadian boutiques, most recently at a leading independently owned Canadian investment back where he was a top-ranked StarMine stock picker. Prior to David’s tenure as a research analyst he spent a number of years both in industry at a TSX-listed biotechnology company developing molecular diagnostic tests for oncology indications as well as a clinical research scientist researching the hereditary predisposition to cancer in addition to investigating multiple experimental therapeutic avenues to treat such cancers. David’s former industry and clinical research experience are core to the fundamental analytical approach he takes with the company’s under his coverage. David holds a Masters of Science (Medical Genetics) from McGill University and has published in a number of high impact journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine.
