We believe that a successful relationship with Raymond James begins with a successful transition. It is for this reason that we have created a dedicated department and a customizable step-by-step process to take care of your transition.
The concept behind our transition process is simple and straightforward: We provide you with a team of dedicated specialists who will assist you through every step of your transition. Our goal is to help you reach maximum productivity in the shortest amount of time and with minimal disruption to your clients. We work with you to map out your transition requirements in registration, client communications, marketing, account opening/transfers, product and service orientation, compliance, and office services.
We assign you a dedicated transition specialist from the beginning to support you through the entire process. Your transition specialist is a fully licensed individual with considerable prior experience as either a financial advisor or as a sales assistant. You also have a dedicated Transition Team ready to help you manage all of the day-to-day details.

Senior VP, Private Client Group & National Director, Independent Financial Services
Raymond James Ltd.
As Senior VP, Private Client Group & National Director, Independent Financial Services, Thomas is responsible for the administration of the more than 90 Private Client Branch offices of Raymond James Ltd. across Canada. Thomas joined Raymond James in 1995 as Controller. His responsibilities expanded in 1999 when he became SVP, Operations and Administration, and in 2005, he assumed his current role. Thomas is located in our Vancouver corporate office. He has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia and is a Chartered Accountant. He has previously been a member of the Financial Administrators Section of the IDA and is a member of the BC Regional Committee of IIAC.
Davida joined Raymond James in 2009 and introduced onboarding models to enhance the transition experience for Advisors and their teams. Drawing on 25+ years of investment and asset management experience in Canada and abroad, including roles as a licensed Sales Assistant, Branch Administrator and Regional Manager overseeing teams up to 84, Davida has accomplished over 120 transitions with Raymond James Ltd. "Our goal is to focus on the needs of the advisors and their clients to ensure the transition is expedited in a professional and organized manner."
Olga joined Raymond James Ltd. in 2015 as a Transition Team Supervisor drawing on 7+ years of investment banking industry experience in the branch retail environment and has worked in other organizations such as CIBC Wood Gundy, Scotia McLeod and BMO Nesbitt Burns. Graduate of the Financial Management program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology she is continually educating herself in the financial industry and is currently working towards obtaining the CIM® designation.
In her career, Olga was aligned with one FA who transitioned from Scotia McLeod to CIBC Wood Gundy and brings a wealth of experience and firsthand knowledge in order to manage the expectations of Financial Advisors onboarding to Raymond James.
