Caleb Ng Partner, Portfolio Manager

Caleb is primarily responsible for oversight of the Cap team’s adherence to its core investment philosophy. Day to day, Caleb is focused on managing the investment portfolios, trading, and research. The purpose of his work is to build strategies that produce the highest growth with the lowest acceptable risk, thus placing the capital entrusted to us to its best use.

Caleb is a graduate of Trinity Western University with a degree in Business. He is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, and is life insurance licensed. Caleb is a member of the CFA Vancouver Society of Analysts and is one of few specialized advisors in North America, licensed in both the U.S. and Canada, and registered with the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC). This designation enables him to manage U.S. domiciled accounts, e.g., IRAs, 401(k)s, and to work with U.S. citizens or Canadians who move to the U.S. or vice versa.

In his youth, Caleb served as a commercial pilot for the United Nations in Africa.  His passion for climbing and surfing have taken him to many parts of the world, including four days climbing the face of “El Capitan” in Yosemite National Park in California. Caleb speaks several languages and continues to fly for fun. When it’s time to relax, Caleb spends time with the loves of his life at his home in Ucluelet: his wife Erika and their daughter, Hannah. His mission in life is to help those in need, especially the marginalized. He believes anything worth doing requires some risk. His main life lesson has been to continually practice gratitude.
