With more than 25 years of experience in investment management and research, Bill Thomlinson offers clients a depth of investment knowledge combined with genuine care for their unique needs. Bill delights in helping clients avoid costly financial mistakes to stay on track with their financial goals.

Prior to forming Thomlinson Investment Counsel at Raymond James, Bill was Chief Operations Officer for an investment management firm in West Vancouver. Before that, he was responsible for hedge fund due diligence research at a national investment dealer and was a respected fund analyst. He has served as brand manager for a major mutual fund company in Toronto and is a past member of the Canadian Mutual Fund Awards Committee. He is licensed as a portfolio manager in British Columbia and Ontario, and as a registered investment advisor in the United States.

Originally from Coquitlam, Bill resides in Langley, B.C., Canada. He enjoys spending time with his four children playing strategy boardgames, music, and sports. He finds educating seniors’ groups on financial fraud awareness particularly rewarding. He completed his Master of Business Administration Finance degree in 2005, and the Chartered Investment Manager designation in 2007.
