Community Involvement

Giving back means giving of ourselves.

The idea of putting others first comes naturally to us, from our clients to our neighbours - it's the right thing to do. You'll find us giving back in countless ways, rolling up our sleeves and pitching in to support the organizations that help this community thrive. We invite you to learn more about the educational, civic, social and philanthropic endeavors we support with our time, energy and expertise. If you'd like to be involved, please feel free to contact us to learn more about upcoming events.

Tree Planting in Kanata

Some members of the Ottawa & Kanata branches came together to plant approximately 60 trees in Cattail Creek Park in Kanata, with the support of the City of Ottawa. We were very happy to lend our hands to re-forestation and it just happened to land on “Plant A Tree Day”.

Ottawa Food Bank Farm

Did you know that the Ottawa Food Bank has a farm that supplies fresh produce to the food bank? Our team loved volunteering there so much, we decided to make it a monthly event during growing season.

Rideau Wildlife Sanctuary

Thanks to our Ottawa & Kanata corporate branch members for coming together to volunteer their time at the Rideau Wildlife Sanctuary.

Many wildlife adapt to living in our urban Ottawa environments, but they face many challenges. Mothers are accidentally killed by cars or illegally trapped and relocated, leaving behind orphaned babies. If they lose their mother while they are young and vulnerable, these babies have no hope except for the care provided at the sanctuary.

The sanctuary cares for 1000 wild mammals and reptiles per year.

We spent the day working in the gardens, which are growing fresh food for the animals in care, and building squirrel nesting boxes.

Toy Mountain

Our team was proud to volunteer at Toy Mountain which distributes over 20,000 toys per year to children in the Ottawa area. You can't help but get into the Christmas spirit while working here.

“I'm very proud of the people of Raymond James and how we give back to our communities. And through the services of the Raymond James Canada Foundation we can also help our clients to turn their charitable giving into strategic philanthropy. We are very excited to be able to help Canadians in this way,”
says Paul Allison, Chairman and CEO, Raymond James Ltd.
