Strides for the General 2019 5K Run

Strides For The General Raises More Than $127,000 For Hospital Foundation

The ninth-annual Strides For The General raised more than $127,000, and still counting, for Hamilton General Hospital Foundation.

Nearly 600 attendees, including patients, hospital teams, community members and volunteers, were united at Bayfront Park on September 14 with the common goal of raising vital funds to support equipment purchases at Hamilton General Hospital, including the Regional Rehabilitation Centre.

“Every dollar raised makes a vital difference for patients across south-central Ontario,” says Pearl Veenema, President and CEO of Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation. “We are deeply grateful for all participants, donors and sponsors who have continued to support us during these last nine years.”

All proceeds from the 5 km walk and timed run will support enhanced patient care by funding priority medical equipment and educational initiatives.
