In the financial world
Kim is the founder and Senior Portfolio Manager of Inglis Private Investment Counsel, a financial advisory practice within Raymond James Ltd. She collaborates with families, entrepreneurs, corporations, and charities to achieve their financial goals.
Kim obtained her Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Victoria. Her entrepreneurial spirit drew her to the financial services industry, where she began in the U.S. trading department of a previous firm before becoming a Portfolio Manager.
Kim specializes in conservative wealth management and financial planning. Kim holds her Canadian Investment Manager (CIM) and Personal Financial Planner (PFP) designations, strengthening the strategic expertise she offers high and ultra-high net-worth clients. She also holds her Fellow of CSI (FCSI), an accreditation granted to financial services professionals who have met the highest standards for education, ethics, and experience. Additionally, Kim earned her Responsible Investment Advisor Certification (RIAC) and is an active member of the Canadian Association of Farm Advisors.
Kim recently earned her CFA ESG Certificate from the CFA Institute.

Kim is a recognized authority in Canada on investments and personal finance strategies. She is regularly requested for interviews as a media commentator and has appeared on the BNN Bloomberg, Asset TV, CBC News, and CTV News Channel. She has also been quoted in The Globe and Mail.
She is a contributing columnist for the National Post and Financial Post (circulation >201,000). She's also the regular financial columnist for Business In Vancouver and several community newspapers across Canada. Her writing has been featured in the Vancouver Sun, Vancouver Province, Ottawa Citizen, Calgary Herald, Edmonton Journal, Saskatoon Star Phoenix, Regina Leader-Post, Windsor Star, Montreal Gazette, and Victoria Times Colonist. Her freelance column has been featured in most major provincial newspapers in Canada.
Additionally, Kim was a featured expert in a Ryerson McGraw-Hill textbook for university students.
Charitable work & community involvement
Kim is deeply committed to giving back and actively contributes her time, expertise, and resources to a variety of causes.
She is the founder of Making Waves for Autism, a national paddling initiative that raises funds and awareness for Autism Canada. Launched in 2024 with a solo 365 km paddle that raised nearly $46,000, the campaign has since expanded across Canada with participation from clubs and individuals coast to coast.
Kim currently serves on the Board of the KGH Foundation, where she is a member of the Finance Committee. She is also a Director with the Central Okanagan Land Trust, and previously served on the Board of the Central Okanagan Foundation, where she chaired the Investment Committee.
Nationally, Kim sits on the Advisory Committee for the Raymond James Canada Foundation, which has facilitated grants of more than $45 million to thousands of charities across the country and internationally since its inception.
She is a member of the Ring Committee at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, and a past President and Director of the New Stride Thoroughbred Adoption Society, a charity dedicated to finding adoptive homes for retired racehorses. Kim is also a long-time volunteer with the Toronto Police Service’s Mounted Unit.
Locally, she sponsors and helps maintain a trail in Myra-Bellevue Provincial Park through the Friends of the South Slopes Society (FOSS).
A passionate advocate for community causes, Kim believes in the power of grassroots impact—whether it’s through hands-on volunteering or financial support.
