With more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, and four professional designations, Chris is uniquely qualified to assist clients in reaching their financial goals. Part of identifying financial goals entails the completion of a comprehensive financial plan. As a Certified Financial Planner, Chris meets recognized international standards of knowledge, skills and abilities that assist in providing well thought out and custom tailored financial plans. Being a CFP® designation holder is important since in Canada, outside of Quebec, anyone can call themselves a Financial Planner.

To receive this prestigious designation, Chris achieved the highest standards for advanced education, ethical conduct, relevant industry experience and solid endorsements from peers. Out of 700,000 financial services professionals in Canada, only 3,500 hold the pinnacle credential.

The Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation is internationally recognized in 26 territories around the world and requires rigorous standards in education, experience, examinations and ethics. The designation provides sound knowledge of budgeting and savings, taxes, investments, insurance, retirement, and estate planning. As a CFP® practitioner, Chris is obligated to follow a strict code of ethics which prescribes a duty to put his clients’ best interests first.

Certified Investment Management (CIM) graduates are in demand in Canada as private client wealth management advisors. The CIM designation enhances Chris' ability to implement complex strategies and investment policies, evaluate portfolio performance, and better serve sophisticated financial clients.

The Financial Management Advisor (FMA) designation provides a solid understanding of advanced wealth management concepts, techniques, and solutions required to serve affluent clients that demand sophisticated strategies.

When Chris is not assisting clients and spending time with his family, he enjoys playing hockey year-round, skiing, biking, hiking and travel. If you want to be witness to Chris’s eyes lighting up, talk about some interesting food dishes! He enjoys cooking a variety of foods. Chris has an easy-going personality which often leads to clients becoming friends. Some are closing in on the 20-year mark! If you want some chuckles, bring along an acquaintance to play golf with Chris. He fancies the game but only golfs a few times a year!

The Chartered Investment Manager® (CIM®) Designation builds the skills and experience we need to serve a more sophisticated financial client or institution. Financial professionals who hold the CIM® designation are eligible for registration as a Portfolio Manager in Canada. They have expertise in providing money management services to high-net-worth and institutional clients, and they understand the application of portfolio management in the context of Canadian markets and regulatory requirements
