Richard Liss, B.Sc, CFP®, CIM®, FCSI® Portfolio Manager PCG

Richard has over 30 years of experience as a financial advisor. He began his career in 1990 at the leading independent investment firm Richardson Greenshields before deciding to join the predecessor firm to Raymond James in 1998. Over the years Richard has refined and developed a disciplined investment process that helps clients grow and preserve their wealth. He understands that financial success requires a clearly defined plan that can adapt to changing markets, needs and goals. For many years Richard provided his investment views and commentaries for CITY-TV, CP24 and CBC Newsworld. He is the “Big Picture Strategist” and acts as his clients’ “Chief Investment Officer”.

Richard holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto as well as multiple industry designations and is a Fellow of CSI (FCSI), which recognizes leading professionals for their outstanding educational dedication, experience and record of achievement.

His passions are not limited to the investment world, however. In the 1980s and 90s Richard achieved considerable success as a professional actor and singer and appeared on Broadway, in feature films and on TV. It was during his time in New York that he met his wife Ginger. They have two adult children, Sean and Joanna and live in Oakville, ON. Much of their free time is spent going for walks along local trails as well as travelling and attending theatre and concerts.

The Chartered Investment Manager® (CIM®) Designation builds the skills and experience we need to serve a more sophisticated financial client or institution. Financial professionals who hold the CIM® designation are eligible for registration as a Portfolio Manager in Canada. They have expertise in providing money management services to high-net-worth and institutional clients, and they understand the application of portfolio management in the context of Canadian markets and regulatory requirements
