Mike is a Portfolio Manager (PM) with over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry previously with major bank run investment dealers and in senior management with an international commercial insurance carrier.

These roles included time in Calgary, Vancouver, Ottawa, and Toronto. Responsibilities included managing multi billion dollars of capital exposures and acquisitions to compliment the distribution channels. In 2012, Michael formed MK Wealth Management and joined his practice with Raymond James Ltd. In 2015.

Mike has years of experience as an instructor, and keynote speaker, and has presented for various institutions including Mount Royal University, Chinook Adult Education, Alberta Securities Commission, and the Insurance Institute of Southern Alberta.

His lectures, interviews, and speaking engagements have primarily focused on effective investing and risk management. Mike is active in the community in youth sports including high school football. He was a former starting quarterback for the University of Alberta elected to the UofA Football Wall of Fame. Mike and Jane have been married over 25 years and have two young adult daughters and their furry brother "Sparky".
