She has earned designations such as the CPCA (Certified Professional Consultant on Aging) granted by the Age Friendly Business Academy, the EPC (Elder Planning Counselor) granted by the Canadian Initiative for Elder Planning Studies as well as a certificate of achievement in "Aging and the Law: Professional Issues". She has furthered her education in this area to be able to advocate for the elderly who may be taken advantage of by others, or in the worst case, suffer elder abuse at the hands of someone close to them. Deborah is informed, well-educated, and on-guard should the need ever arise to protect her clients’ financial interests.

Deborah places a great deal of emphasis on trust and transparency. She is who she is in all aspects of her life, and believes that relationships will not grow without complete transparency. Deborah’s clients complete a Risk Tolerance Questionnaire that forms the basis of the Investment Policy Statement that she prepares for her clients that outlines her understanding of their wants and needs, as well as her services, products, and fee structure.
