Introducing Chris Blumas MBA, CFA®

Chris Blumas is a Portfolio Manager at Raymond James Investment Counsel Ltd. He is a passionate investor with extensive portfolio management experience and strong primary research capabilities across a wide range of industries and asset classes.

Chris’s career in the investment industry began in 2001. He joined Raymond James in 2021. Prior to joining Raymond James, Chris spent six years as a portfolio manager at two boutique wealth management firms dedicated to meeting the needs of high net worth individuals and their families. Before that, Chris spent almost five years as an analyst and portfolio manager responsible for researching and selecting Canadian companies for the award-winning Ivy Team at Mackenzie Investments.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Windsor and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Toronto. He is a CFA charterholder, a Chartered Investment Manager, and has been featured on the Business News Network (BNN) and in the Canadian Press.

When Chris is not researching companies and communicating with clients, he enjoys spending time with his family, coaching youth baseball, and playing squash.
