Deep Experience

Laurie's family roots in the financial services industry date back two generations with the founding of J.L Goad & Co. in 1924. She graduated from Western University in 1977 with a BA in History and a minor in Economics. Laurie started in the back office and then became cage manager for 7 years. In 1984 she moved into the private client area and began building her book while also becoming involved with the management group as a director. She gained extensive business management experience as a director of every predecessor firm to what became Raymond James Ltd.in 2000.

Bradley Smith joined Raymond James in 2001 after spending 4 years in Credit & Risk Management with a major Canadian bank and has been with the team for 5 years. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in finance from St. Mary’s University in Halifax. Brad has extensive experience in all aspects of the business and has a keen eye for the market.
