Matt works with Daryn to facilitate strategy and implementation processes. He also is responsible for cross-border planning needs and advises on progressive investment strategies. Further to this, Matt provides guidance on NHL pensions and benefits for current and retired players.

Matt has a Bachelor of Commerce degree as well as a diploma in Business Management. He has worked in the investment industry since 2016 after playing hockey professionally for eight seasons in the National Hockey League and American Hockey League for the Minnesota Wild and Ottawa Senators organizations. During the course of his athletic career he won several awards including the American Special/AHL Houston Aeros Man of the Year Award (2010) for outstanding contributions to the Houston community and the WHL Western Conference Scholastic Player of the Year (2006). Matt is licensed as a financial advisor in both the U.S and in Canada.

In his spare time Matt is also a hockey analyst for TSN 1260 radio in Edmonton. He is currently a member of the NHL Alumni Association and the Edmonton Oilers Alumni Association. He is also very active in the community, donating his time to several charities through the Edmonton Oilers Alumni Association, as well as guest coaching at several local minor hockey associations. Matt now lives in Sherwood Park with his wife Amanda and their daughters Amery, Callie, and Josephine.
