Gerry Scott
Gerry Scott, CFP®, CIM®, CRPC® Portfolio Manager

Gerry Scott is a Portfolio Manager and Branch Manager with Raymond James Ltd. With over 26 years in the industry, Gerry established his own IIROC dealership branch in 1998. In 2011, Gerry joined Raymond James Ltd. and services his clients from his office in Coquitlam. He holds a Certified Financial Planner designation, Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designation, and is a Life Insurance Representative. Gerry is one of a select group of advisors at Raymond James that is licensed in the United States. Gerry is licensed to serve clients in Hawaii, Arizona, California, Utah, and Washington.

Having been born and raised in a small community on Vancouver Island, Gerry has simple moral values that have proven to be an asset to his clients. Gerry and his wife Melissa live in the Tri-Cities area with their four dogs. They have one daughter named Chelsea. Gerry has been involved with many charities and foundations over the years. He has a passion for all sports but as a member of the Vancouver Golf Club, golf has moved to the forefront, keeping him in his community and close to home. When Gerry is not in Vancouver he can be found servicing his clients on the island of Maui.

Gerry Scott is also the creator of the app "Snowbirds US Day Tracker". This app provides Canadian Snow Birds the ability to track the number of days they are spending in the United States, which is essential to avoid being classified by the IRS as a US resident for tax purposes. The app is available on iTunes and Google Play.

The Chartered Investment Manager® (CIM®) Designation builds the skills and experience we need to serve a more sophisticated financial client or institution. Financial professionals who hold the CIM® designation are eligible for registration as a Portfolio Manager in Canada. They have expertise in providing money management services to high-net-worth and institutional clients, and they understand the application of portfolio management in the context of Canadian markets and regulatory requirements
