Experience

Before joining Raymond James as a Financial Advisor, Mike worked at other financial services firm for 31 years as a Financial Advisor. Mike has been a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute since 1982.

Education

Mike graduated from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute of Technology in 1974 with a Certificate in Public Health (C.P.H.I). He worked as a Public Health Inspector for five years before entering the securities industry. Mike additionally completed his accreditation in Options Trading, and completed the Directors and Partners qualifications with the Canadian Securities Institute. A firm believer in continuing education, Mike worked as a night school instructor at Durham College from 1980 to 2011, and is very proud to have been recognized by Durham College with an “outstanding teaching” award.

Family/Hobbies

Born in Montreal, Quebec, Mike has lived in Ottawa, Chapleau, London and Ajax, Ontario. He currently resides in Brooklin, Ontario and enjoys spending time with his wife Cory, his associate at Raymond James, and their four children, Ian, Lyndsay, Megan and Sarah. When he is not working with clients, Mike enjoys reading, writing, researching equities, travelling with his wife, and sometimes golfing, Mike is a diehard Montreal Canadiens and former Expos fan, and is now pulling for the Jays.
