Raymond James Kelowna Branch Hosts Fundraiser to benefit whole community
The Raymond James Kelowna branch held a fundraiser for the Kelowna Community Food Bank, Kelowna Salvation Army, and Gospel Mission of Kelowna. Around 130 clients and members of the community attended. The event was held at the Laurel Packinghouse and featured a photo booth, caricature artist, gourmet canapés, local beer and wines, live music (Robert Fine), and a silent auction. Forty-three silent auction items were donated by local businesses, mutual fund companies, insurance companies, and employees of Raymond James. The top silent auction item was a 7-night stay in Phoenix at Embassy Suites, which sold for $1,050.
The goal was to reach $15,000, but that was far surpassed, raising a total of $33,500 (including $10,000 from Raymond James employees)! Mike Todd, Executive Director of the Raymond James Canada Foundation, was in attendance, On November 19th, 2014 and gave a presentation on the Foundation, which provided matching funding.
It was a huge success for the Kelowna team, and they look forward to making it an annual event!
