With over 40 years of professional experience in the investment industry, David Winslow Cobbett is now a Vice President and Investment Advisor.
David believes that good advice isn’t drawn from a single source, but rather from a reserve of diverse knowledge and experience. In 1966, he graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Philosophy, and he attended Law School at Laval University for one year before joining the financial industry and becoming licensed to trade in listed securities, options, futures and mutual funds.
He discovered he could apply a wide range of knowledge and interests to his work as an advisor, as it entails having an understanding of global economics, industry and technological advances and a commitment to helping clients achieve their goals. David’s versatility is the result of the experience he has gained as an Advisor during several periods of economic decline over the course of his career. He has calmly guided his clients through turbulent periods and has developed a unique ability to manage market volatility for his current clients.
David is deeply involved in the sport of sailboat racing, is an accredited racing judge and also serves as Chief Judge at the Hudson Yacht Club. He is also active in his local community as Board Chairman of the Hudson Village Theatre and as a member of the Finance Committee at his local church.
