Raymond James' Venture Corporate Finance team focuses on financing transactions of up to $5 million in any industry or sector. We build on the relationships our financial advisors have with principals of early-stage and small-cap companies and help these business ventures meet their goals by assisting them with their financing, distribution, restructuring and listing needs. Most of our clients are either seeking a listing or are currently listed on the TSX Venture Exchange.

David Melillo, MBA
David Melillo joined Raymond James in February of 2005 and has over ten years of corporate finance experience. David began his investment industry career as a corporate finance associate and subsequently was head of corporate finance for another investment dealer where he developed a specialization for analyzing and financing venture issuers. Over the years, David has been directly involved in numerous financing transactions for issuers in a variety of industries and sectors. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree (Biology) from the University of Windsor and a MBA from Nova Southeastern University. |
Melody Lau
Melody Lau joined the retail business of Raymond James in 2005. In 2006, she moved to capital markets and eventually joined Venture Corporate Finance in 2007. She has been directly involved in numerous Capital Pool Company offerings, public offerings and private placements. Melody holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree (Mechanical Engineering) from the University of Windsor. |
Leon Chan
Leon Chan joined Raymond James in 2006. Leon began his investment industry career as a Senior Account Profile Associate at Raymond James. In 2009, Leon transitioned to a new role as Supervisor of Registered Plans Administration. In 2011 Leon joined Venture Corporate Finance as one of the analysts responsible for the review and approval of non-brokered private placement financings. Leon holds a Bachelor of Science degree (Mathematics) from the University of Victoria. |
Sailaja Krishnankutty
Sailaja Krishnankutty joined Raymond James in 2007 as a Senior Securities Associate where she helped to manage the processing and settlement of all retail and institutional financings conducted through the firm. In 2011 Sailaja joined Venture Corporate Finance as one of the analysts responsible for the review and approval of non-brokered private placement financings. Sailaja holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (Economics) from the University of Toronto. |
